What Your Gift Can Do

A gift to St. Peter's Seminary helps provide our future Catholic diocesan priests with the intellectual, pastoral and human formation needed to faithfully answer the call to Christ, in an environment of studious reflection. Gifts also support future lay deacons as they journey prayerfully towards ordained service to the Church.

In addition, gifts advance graduate Catholic theology courses and parish ministry training programs offered by the Seminary and the Institute for Catholic Formation that are critical for the health of the Church in every community.

As a donor, your gift can be applied broadly to the highest priority needs of the Seminary, or more specifically at your direction, such as capital projects, bursaries for seminarians and students or support of programs. You can choose to impact the Seminary right now or plan a gift for the future, even in perpetuity. The choice is yours.

Ways to Make a Gift

All donations to the Seminary are received and administered by the St. Peter 's Seminary Foundation. Tax credits are available for all eligible donations according to the guidelines of the Canada Revenue Agency, and tax receipts are issued by the Foundation upon receipt of the donation.

Please provide us with your name and address so that an appropriate donation receipt can be issued for any gift of Cdn$25 and over. You can donate to St. Peter's Seminary through several convenient ways:

• Credit Card
  The Foundation currently accepts MasterCard, VISA and American Express for donations and purchases. In order to process credit card payments, the following information is required:
  • Name as it appears on the card
  • Card Number
  • Expiry Date
  • CVD (Card Verification Code): For Visa and MasterCard the CVD is the last 3 digits of the number found on the signature panel on the back of the card. For American Express, the CVD is the four digit code printed on the front of the card above the card number.

• Securities*
  The Foundation is able to receive donations to the Seminary in the form of stocks and bonds.
• Property*
  The Foundation is able to receive real property and other types of property.
