Panes of Glory

Illuminations from the Stained Glass Windows of St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, St. Peter's Seminary, London, Ontario

by Father Michael R. Prieur

From the inside cover:
"When new visitors see the stained glass windows in St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, most 'gasp with wonder,' says Fr. Prieur.  In Panes of Glory, Fr. Prieur gives readers an intimate tour of the windows, sharing the artistry and stories that inspire this reaction.  Remarkable photos by Beta Photos provide close up views of the Neo-Gothic windows set high in the chapel walls. Drawing on scholarly study and personal contemplation, Fr. Prieur provides a multi-layered reflection for each scene.  He explains the symbols of the Christian faith and shares insights into familiar biblical figures."

"This is much more than a coffee-table book. The history and reflections on each window provide a powerful meditation with a spiritual application for our own times."
