Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies
Course Description
Since 1979, The Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies program has educated thousands of leaders for dynamic and effective youth ministry in Catholic parishes and schools. This program equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools and techniques needed for creative comprehensive ministry with youth. It is designed to nurture the personal, spiritual, and ministerial growth of leaders for ministry in today’s Church. (CMD 2008)
Participants: Professional and volunteer leaders in parishes and Catholic school ministry with young and older adolescents – youth ministers, religious educators, clergy, chaplains, campus ministers, and school teachers.
Length: There are eight weekend sessions - four per year over a two year period.
Tuition: Course fee is $300 per weekend plus costs for course books and materials.

- September 11 - 12, 2010: Principles in Youth Ministry
- December 4 - 5, 2010: Practices of Youth Ministry
- March 5 - 6, 2011: Foundations of Christian Leadership
- May 28 - 29, 2010: Skills for Christian Ministry
Cycle Two:
- Fall 2011: Evangelization and Catechesis
- Winter 2011: Prayer and Worship
- Spring 2012: Justice and Service
- Spring 2012: Pastoral Care
