On Monday, June 14th, St. Peter's Seminary held its 2010 Volunteer Recongition celebration for the many people who devote their time, talent and energy. We thank you for all of your valuable contributions!
A Prayer of Thanks for our Volunteers
Loving God, you have truly blessed our community through the generosity of many people who volunteer their time and talent for the ongoing mission of St. Peter’s Seminary.
You reassure us, O God, that there is a variety of gifts and a variety of activities, but one Lord who calls them forth, and one Spirit that inspires the use of these gifts for the building of your Kingdom. There is no insignificant work that is done among us. All the efforts that are so generously given by our volunteers contribute to the important work of preparing servant-leaders empowered to proclaim a message of truth, to offer a witness of authenticity, and to share a presence of genuine compassion and concern.
We recognize the work that is done by so many faithful and dedicated people who share in this mission, and we ask you to abundantly bless them. May you pour forth your Spirit upon them in a fresh way as they have poured out their generosity with such abundance towards the work of St. Peter’s Seminary.
