St. Peter’s Seminary offers a number of programs that respond to the various calls experienced by many within our Catholic Community.  Read personal testimonies of students engaged in these programs by clicking on the photos at the top of the Homepage.

The Degree Programs offered at St. Peter’s:

  • Master of Divinity (Advanced) Program – for those studying for Ordination to the Priesthood.
  • Master of Divinity (Basic) – for those preparing for ministry in the Church in various pastoral fields of service: parish lay ecclesial ministers, chaplains of high schools, hospitals, prisons, and military services.
  • Master of Theological Studies – a two-year academic program culminating in the writing of a 50-page thesis, which has been helpful for Catholic school teachers seeking to update their understanding of our Catholic faith and upgrade their credentials for teaching religious education in our schools.

Each of these programs requires the previous completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Certificate Programs offered at St. Peter’s:

  • Permanent Diaconate Formation program – involves ten weekends of education modules per year at St. Peter’s spanning a period of four years.  Permanent deacons offer a ministry of outreach to the poor and vulnerable within their parish community, as well as offering liturgical ministries of preaching and presiding at celebrations of baptism, marriage, and Christian burial.
  • Certificate in Pastoral Ministry program – involves a similar ten weekends of education modules per year at St. Peter’s Seminary spanning a period of three years. Graduates of this Certificate program serve across the Diocese of London in lay ecclesial ministry positions in many parishes.
  • Parish Nursing Program - An ecumenical formation program introducing the fundamental concepts of Parish Nursing. A “how-to” for integrating spirituality, health and wholeness into one’s nursing practice.
