Announcement of the new Director of Permanent Diaconate Formation and Study at St. Peter's Seminary.

Dear St. Peter’s Seminary Faculty, Staff, Seminarians and Lay Students,

I am pleased to announce that Deacon Gerard Van Schyndel has been appointed Director of Permanent Diaconate Formation and Study at St. Peter’s Seminary.  His appointment is effective immediately and is for a period of five years.  

In his role, Deacon Van Schyndel is a member of the Seminary’s Faculty.

By way of background, Deacon Van Schyndel has been a volunteer and advocate for the Seminary over a number of years, serving as a director on the Seminary’s Board, and Chair of the Building and Grounds Committee.  In that capacity he has had a valued oversight role in the Seminary’s extensive renovation.
